Winter Tips for Tenants

To All Tenants of Dizmang Properties:

It's that time of year again, time to prepare for winter and we would certainly appreciate all of our Tenant's help. While you are renting one of our properties, we wanted to remind you of a few little things that were agreed upon when you signed the lease.

1. Be sure to change your furnace filters every three (3) months. This is a good way to keep your furnace running efficiently, therefore resulting in lower utility bills. If you do not know how to do this, please call our office and we will be happy to come out and show you how.

2. Change the batteries in all of the smoke detectors. It is extremely important that there are fully charged batteries in the smoke detectors at all times. Never remove the batteries, unless you are changing them.

3. Disconnect any water hoses that are still connected to outside water spigots. If water hoses are left connected to the outside water spigot, the pipes could burst in freezing temperatures and this repair would be at your expense, due to negligence. In addition to this, make that all crawl space vent covers are closed.

4. Yard maintenance is the Tenant’s responsibility. Remember that leaves in the yard must be raked up and properly disposed of. Leaves that are left on the lawn will cause the grass to die and lack of yard maintenance on the Tenant’s part is a violation of your signed lease agreement.

Of course, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me at the office. We certainly appreciate having you as a Tenant and we can't thank you enough for helping us take steps to keep your property in a good condition for you to live in.
